Myrtle's day care centre is part of a project to develop day care
services and social services for elderly frail people and to provide a
break for carers who need a rest.
Who do we cater for?
We at Myrtle’s day care work with elderly people from the Haringay
and other areas who are suffering from mild problems of confusion,
disorientation and memory loss. These problems may have developed
due to the gradual onset of senile dementia, or they may have arisen
following a mild stroke or a dramatic event. |

The centre is able to cater for up to twelve or more.
What are our aims?
To provide a warm, supportive and stimulating atmosphere where
individual attention is given and group participation is encouraged.
To ease the burden for caring relatives and friends and to provide practical help and advice. |
